Jean-Philippe Tremblay, the 28-year-old Québecois founder and Artistic Director of L`Orchestre de la Francophonie Canadienne, has been universally hailed by the Canadian press as a `great interpreter` with `a true musical vision` and has conducted extensively throughout Europe and North America. He makes his debut with New York`s Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas on September 24th. The evening`s dynamic program of works from the Americas will feature Ginastera`s Variaciones Concertantes, Francisco Mignone`s Concertino for Bassoon and Chamber Orchestra, Pierre Mercure`s Kaleidoscope, and Richard Danielpour`s Apparitions.

On September 22nd at the Americas Society (680 Park Avenue, at E. 68th Street) at 7 pm, Tremblay will join Alondra de la Parra, Founder and Music Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, in a discussion about the exciting program that will mark his New York debut. This dialogue will illuminate the music and the process by which the programs are designed, and introduce the composers and performers.
