Born in 1926, Jean Miotte began exhibiting in 1952 and continues to this day. As one of the important protagonists of L'Art Informel, his work is inspired by the desire of the post-war generation to create a universal human language through art, a path to peace and a way to overcome frontiers after the horrors of war. Miotte's work is greatly influenced by jazz, and especially by dance.
