JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes October 14, 2012

More than 2,500 are expected as Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway hosts the Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF on Oct. 14. GM Bob Galterio heads the “Cure For Cara” Team in honor of his daughter, who was diagnosed at age 10. Registration opens at 9am. The walk starts at 10am. The fundraising goal for the chapter is to realize more than $690,000 for research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications. At the Walk, there will be games, a scavenger hunt, food and fun.
