Jazz Coventry presents... Chris Bowden Trio December 2, 2006

Bowden started his professional career in the heart of the acid jazz boom playing sessions for Talking Loud's K-Creative, then with Simon Richmond on Mo'wax, Jessica Lauren and Jhelisa Anderson. Bowden went on to help 4Hero develop the more organic, jazz-soul sound on drum & bass that made up the first half of their '2 Pages' album. He wrote the music, arranged the strings and played sax, performing with them live too. Chris has also played with James Mason, Doug Karn, Basement Jaxx and The Herbaliser live band for the last three years. For live appearances his band blew the roof off Cargo (London club) at Gilles Peterson's Worldwide 10th anniversary and sold out at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. As likely to be reviewed in the dance press as jazz.
