Jay Z

Born Shawn Carter on December 4th 1969 in the Brooklyn, NY, found his voice in rap after his father abandoned his family.

One of his best friends Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G, wrote track for both of them with out the needs of paper and ink. With lack of funding to find a record label to sign to, Jay-Z created his own; Roc-a-Fella Records.
Jay-Z stuggled to stay on top through his losses, the death of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur left him to be the #1 rapper on the East Coast.
