'The Jackleg Testament' is a 67-minute animated, operatic motion picture, created by the multi-talented Kentucky-born artist Jay Bolotin exclusively from his own woodcuts and music. The accompanying exhibition displays the woodcuts from which the film was made, as well as a portfolio of prints that outlines the story's narrative.

Artist Jay Bolotin's woodcut motion picture, The Jackleg Testament: part one — Jack & Eve, will be screened at Joslyn Art Museum during the run of the exhibition Jay Bolotin: The Jackleg Testament (on view September 30 through December 31). The screenings are scheduled for 2 pm each Sunday, October 1 through December 24, in the Abbott Lecture Hall or Omaha Steaks Conference Room. The animated, operatic motion picture was created by Bolotin exclusively from his own woodcuts and music. The screenings are free with Museum admission. Parental guidance suggested.
