JAX London Community Night November 1, 2011

Join us for the JAX London Community Night; a FREE event offering the professional Java developers, project managers and architects a chance to hear from renowned speakers, learn about latest technologies, meet with peers and interact with the community.

Once again JAX London will open its doors to the entire Java community. If you know Java fans who've missed out on the conference, we'd still love to see them at the Community Night! Community Night attendees will have the opportunity to network with our speakers and company representatives, as well as other members of the Java community. There will also be additional sessions from some of our speakers, including Live Hacking with Java Champion Adam Bien, and attendees will have the opportunity to deep dive into the OpenJDK project – by building the implementation for themselves!

After a welcome reception, attendees can attend three exciting, hands-on sessions:

• Adam Bien (www.adam-bien.com), a world width known developer, a JavaOne rockstar and Oracle Java Developer of the Year, will lead on stage a live Java EE hacking session. Bring your laptops and get involved – this is a unique opportunity to code collaboratively with your peers and industry experts.
• Fredrik Ohrstrom from Oracles JVM Labs will hold an OpenJDK Workshop. Come to this workshop and we will build the OpenJDK together, on my laptopas well as yours, and we will add a small feature to the OpenJDK.
• Sam Berrigaud from Atlassian joins us for the evening. Details of Sam’s session will to be confirmed, but we’re sure to hear nuggets on the challenges of the Atlassian plug-in system, from OSGi to Class Loaders to SDK………………………………..
