Mentored by post-bop innovator Andrew Hill, adventurous modern jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran will perform new arrangements of material from Hill’s influential avant-garde recording “Smokestack” during the final week of the Stanford Jazz Festival, Tuesday August 5.
