ABOUT THE SHOW:
Jane Austen only wrote six novels in her lifetime, but they are some of the most beloved tales of love and misunderstanding, wit and wisdom, and passion and betrayal ever written. Now, for the first time in two centuries, Impro Theatre will deliver a new Jane Austen story every night. Passionate, willful women flirt and verbally joust with handsome, brooding young noblemen. Hearts are broken, secrets are revealed and true love wins out in the end. Or does it? The essence of Austen’s brilliant and timeless romantic comedies and social satires is brought faithfully to life by Impro Theater, an expert team of funny and gifted actors, whose recent explorations of great literary figures include Shakespeare, Dickens, Sondheim, and Tennessee Williams.

ABOUT IMPRO THEATRE:
Since 1988 Impro Theatre has brought innovative, unscripted theater to Los Angeles and the world. The company has performed at festivals from Amsterdam to New Zealand, winning critical praise and popular support wherever they play. In short, Impro Theatre locates the core narrative and vital style elements of great playwrights/writers and creates plays that the author might have written had he or she solicited suggestions from the audience. The Company recently concluded a very successful run of TENNESSEE WILLIAMS UNSCRIPTED and will be staging SHAKESPEARE UNSCRIPTED--a big hit at last year's Oregon Shakespeare Festival--when they return to Southern California.
