Bay Area Productions and Another Planet Entertainment proudly announce Jamie Foxx’s 50-city North American “Intuition Tour,” which kicks off July 3rd in Las Vegas, NV and runs through October 2009. Foxx last fired up stages across the country during his unprecedented “Unpredictable Tour” in 2007, which was also presented by Bay Area Productions and Another Planet Entertainment.
With Foxx’s continuous chart-topping success in music, his widely popular “The Foxxhole” radio show on Sirius XM, as creator and co-executive producer of one of MTV's highest-rated reality shows, “From G's to Gents,” and his co-starring role and stellar performance alongside Robert Downey, Jr. in the critically-acclaimed film The Soloist, which is in theaters now, Academy Award winner and Grammy-nominated artist Jamie Foxx is undoubtedly the undisputed "King of all Media" and will continue to bask in his reign when the “Intuition Tour” kicks off. From coast to coast millions of fans will get an intimate, up close and personal performance from Foxx as he bring his unmistakable, unsurpassed talent as an all-around entertainer to the stage.

Foxx is not only flying high from excitement surrounding the “Intuition Tour,” but he is also continuing to bask in the afterglow of the announcement that he just set the all-time record for 12 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Urban Mainstream chart with his hit single "Blame It" (TLC's "No Scrubs" was #1 for 11 weeks in 1999)! This unprecedented feat is coupled with "Blame It" coming in at #1 on the Hot 100 Audience chart for a 4th week and the single continuing to maintain its Top 5 status this week landing at #3 on the Rhythmic chart (after a 5 week run at #1), and #5 on the Top 40 chart. Additionally, "Blame It" is currently #3 on Nielsen's Ringscan chart as it crossed the million tone sales mark after peaking at #2 a few weeks ago. Foxx's RIAA-certified Platinum album Intuition, released in December of 2008, is currently #6 on the R&B Albums chart and features an impressive list of artists such as T.I, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Ne-Yo.

But, the party doesn’t end there for Foxx. He was also just named as host of the 9th annual BET Awards which airs “LIVE” on June 28th from LA’s Shrine Auditorium and also garnered three BET Awards nominations for "Best Male R&B Artist," "Best Collaboration" with T-Pain for "Blame It," and "Video of the Year" for the star-studded "Blame It" which also features Ron Howard, Forest Whitaker, Jake Gyllenhaal, Samuel L. Jackson, Quincy Jones, T-Pain and more.

Now, fresh off the heels of a certified platinum album and a history making single, the “Intuition Tour” promises to show Foxx in a more incredible, more electrifying and more unforgettable light than ever before.

Besides his second to none, outstanding work in the studio, Foxx has also achieved an undeniably ground breaking, and history making career as an actor. He won an Academy Award for his portrayal of the legendary Ray Charles as well as the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild (SAG), BAFTA and NAACP Image Awards. Foxx simultaneously garnered Oscar, Golden Globe, SAG Award, BAFTA Award, and Image Award nominations in the category of Best Supporting Actor for his work in the movie Collateral. Foxx also landed Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations and won an Image Award for his portrayal of condemned gang member-turned-Nobel Peace Prize nominee Stan "Tookie" Williams in Redemption. That amazing feat marked the first time that a single actor has received three Golden Globe nominations and four SAG Award nominations in the same year. Foxx has since appeared in Dreamgirls, Miami Vice, Jarhead and The Kingdom, and he will next star in the drama Law Abiding Citizen, directed by F. Gary Gray.

Before Foxx even started his new album, he had an album title. “I’ve always lived my life trying to understand what women are all about, from the hood to the White House,” he says. “So with the album Intuition, I tried to sing about what women really want—they want to have fun, they want to drink the right drink, eat the right food, and be talked to a certain way. In thinking like that over the whole album, hopefully we captured what women want to hear.” As the “Intuition Tour” kicks off, Foxx will be giving everyone what they want to hear and see by the thousands as he hits the road in the hottest show of the year.
