Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced that superstar “triple threat” artist Jamie Foxx will visit the BankAtlantic Center for an exclusive show on Saturday, August 29. The Jamie Foxx concert is just one of a number of huge events headed to the “Center of it All” this summer including the Jonas Brothers, Metallica, Beyonce and more.

Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone (800-745-3000), at www.ticketmaster.com and on Monday, June 22 at the BankAtlantic Center box office.

“We are absolutely thrilled that Jamie Foxx has chosen to make the BankAtlantic Center his one and only South Florida destination,” said SSE president & chief operating officer Michael Yormark. “Jamie Foxx is one of the world’s top entertainers and his decision to come to the ‘Center of it All’ speaks volumes about our ability to successfully host a diverse series of events.”

After continuation of a busy movie career and the release of his chart topping CD “Intuition,” Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx returns for an evening of live music in Sunrise on August 29.

Intuition was released on December 16, 2008 and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The first single off the album “She Got Her Own” rose to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. The second single, “Blame It” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. Intuition also features an impressive list of artists such as T.I, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Ne-Yo.

Before Foxx even started his new album, he had an album title. “I’ve always lived my life trying to understand what women are all about, from the hood to the White House,” he says. “So with the album Intuition, I tried to sing about what women really want—they want to have fun, they want to drink the right drink, eat the right food, be talked to a certain way. In thinking like that over the whole album, hopefully we captured what women want to hear.”
