When Rama Desai rings the doorbell of her friend's neighbour by chance, she comes face to face with retd. Major Ranjit Singh Gohil, an ex-army man who has not let gone of the ways of the army. The Major lets Rama wait for her friend at his house. In that half an hour, Rama discovers that the divorced Major is looking for a companion. She finds this both amusing, and fascinating, while the Major is intrigued by this woman who practices her laughter club therapy at the drop of a hat. They part on slightly more amicable terms than they met. Will they find what they are looking for in each other? Or will their lives take an unexpected u-turn and lead them in a direction they never considered?.
