Spawning a moniker readily worthy of a badly-dubbed, kaleidoscopic 80s cartoon, infectious techno rascal Jackson Fougeraud bounds around his literally-designated backing group: a technological booty bag of electro allsorts and lurid tunes.

A French-born, Warp-signed, kamikaze wunderkind ? who also records with his niece and his mother ? Jackson recently released his techno-funk pick?n?mix debut, Smash (Warp) to greedy approval.

His scampering, utopian electro-pop is variously self-defined as ?antique futurism? and a ?style orgy? ? both of which perhaps suffice ? but let?s define it this way: ace.
