Brown creates installations of seeping, creeping, and dripping organic forms that suggest accumulation as well as decomposition. These environments are made up of brightly colored ceramic sculptures with epoxy resin and paint, urethane foam and plaster, as well as rubber, wire, and steel rods. The results are compelling environments that address everything from oil spills to biological experiments gone awry, and which the artist finds tied to her interest in human consciousness, the elasticity of the mind, and its potential for perpetual ripening
