Time to tempt your palate with all the pleasurable flavors that Southern California has to offer. Join Pleasure Palate as we do some culinary exploring of restaurants (both high-end and holes in the walls), various food and beverage tastings, cooking classes, potlucks and so much more. From savory to sweet, from salty to sour, from spicy to tangy, from exotic to All-American, we'll taste it all, so come along and take your taste buds on the ride of their life. This evening, it's all about the delicious Belgium chocolates from Chocolatt...from Belgium in West L.A.!

If you are tired of patronizing shops staffed by clerks who give the impression that they are doing you a favor by allowing you to shop there, then you are in for a treat. Tarcis, Chocolatt’s owner, is a fellow chocolate lover and is as friendly and as cordial a person as you will hope to meet.

Originally trained as a photographer, Tarcis eventually went a different route and decided to make his passion for chocolate into a business. “I love chocolate…it’s that simple. What better motive to start my own business than out of winsome, passionate love!” That love definitely shines through! When you visit the shop, and you really must do so, close your eyes so that you can appreciate the fragrance of some of the best chocolates in the world.

“Okay, okay,” you are thinking, “so how good are the chocolates?” The research that Tarcis and his three teams of testers, who roamed Belgium rating thirty manufacturers, is evident in the exclusive few they all agreed Tarcis would be proud to sell. Some of those chocolates include Dolfin’s neopolitan squares with cocoa beans, Anouc and Galler ganaches, Galler’s Praline Cat’s Tongues and so much more.

It truly is All About the Chocolate with Tarcis and this Sunday, we're going to be having a "sweet" experience of our own with a private MyPC event. For $10, that needs to be pre-paid,, this event will include:

  • a general discussion of Belgian chocolate (how it's made, the varieties, the difference in taste compared with other chocolates)

  • some info on chocolate history and fun facts

  • an overview of the kinds of chocolates that are offered by Chocolatt

  • a sampling of 6 chocolates (that you can either sample there or take home)

  • a cup of their Velvet Hot Chocolate, made from the finest European cocoa.
A "sweet" way to pleasure our palate, a great way to start off the week and enjoying the company of other fellow chocolate lovers is definitely the way to spend a Sunday evening, so please come join us!
