3quietmen
These three young musicians from Turincombine their different backgrounds to form a contemporary project thatis not bound by the boundaries of ‘typical’ jazz. Its members’backgrounds range from jazz, rock and classical music to contemporarydance and musical therapy. The trio primarily performs original jazzcompositions, but has gone so far as to record their own arrangementsof selections from classical composer Béla Bártok's Mikrokosmos.
Ivan Valentini’s Slanting Quintet
Since theearly 1990’s, Ivan Valentini has been a leading figure in a variety ofmusical settings, moving comfortably from improvised music to otherforms of art, primarily performing his own compositions. Valentini hasperformed with a wide variety of international musicians from a rangeof backgrounds, including jazz musicians, poets, songwriters, anddancers.
Manomanouche
Manomanouche is a collection ofmusicians of various nationalities and musical backgrounds, unitedunder the banner of Gypsy music. Manomanouche plays ‘Swing Manouche’, afusion of swing, tsigane folklore and Italian melody with animprovisational approach. In addition to new arrangements of the worksDjango Reinhardt, Manomanouche performs standards, valzer gipsy musetteand original compositions. Despite its acoustic instrument base, theManomanouche live experience has an immediate and deep impact on allaudiences.
Q
With influences ranging from funk to symphonicmusic, and contemporary jazz to electronica and rock, Q is dedicated tothe search for new jazz sounds, emphasizing the relationship betweenmusicians. Their debut release, “Untitled 06” has a sound that wandersfar from the jazz mainstream and has strong connections with state ofthe art contemporary instrumental music. The album’s range of colourswill satisfy jazz lovers; while the atmosphere will seduce occasionallisteners. Live, the band follows where the music leads.
