IT Project Management provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively plan and successfully manage project management elements, including project justification, planning, identifying and managing risk, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, controlling, and closing. The course will familiarize the participants with the project management tools such as MS-Project and Gantt charts. In addition, the course covers IT-specific project management methodologies such as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile etc. The course also addresses project management-related challenges such as defining expectations, managing project risks and outsourced projects, communicating with virtual teams and allocating resources.

The intended audience for this course includes existing and prospective IT project managers, project leaders, managers, technicians, team leads, business analysts, PMO team members who are responsible for IT projects, non-IT managers who have IT responsibilities, and persons entering IT management from another field.
