Make plans to travel the world at the City of Irvine’s Global Village Festival on Saturday, October 4, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Bill Barber Park. Now in its seventh year, this multifaceted festival features international cuisine, live entertainment, children’s activities, cultural exhibits and demonstrations, a sampling of world religions and a global marketplace. One of the City’s most popular events, the festival is a wonderful opportunity for people to experience and share the cultural traditions of their friends and neighbors.

Boasting artistic performances symbolic of Irvine’s diverse cultural community, the Festival’s entertainment is a mosaic of music and dance representing more than 50 cultures from Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America.

Throughout the afternoon, the international marketplace and food court will entice festival-goers with traditional and unique gifts, crafts, artwork and ethnic cuisine from around the globe. The Kids Village will provide interactive programs for young children, including arts and craft projects, games, face painting and balloon art, bounce house and more. Attendees will also be able to connect with local services and organizations at the Community Partners Pavilion.

Festival admission is free. Food court tasting tickets are available for purchase at the event. Bill Barber Park is located adjacent to the Irvine Civic Center on Harvard between Barranca and Alton in Irvine.
