In the first Spark: The Thinking Out Loud Speaker Series, the Washington Ethical Society hosts a debate on U.S. policy toward Iran. Peace activist Carol Waser has traveled to Iran as part of a delegation from the interfaith Fellowship for Reconciliation. Foreign policy scholar Michael Ledeen of the American Enterprise Institute is the author of The Iranian Time Bomb: The Mullah Zealots’ Quest for Destruction. Journalist Michel Martin, host of NPR's Tell Me More, will moderate the discussion and invite audience participation. Refreshments provided by Silver Spring's a Taste of Jerusalem. $15/$10 for students and seniors. Wheelchair accessible. Street parking available. All are welcome!
