...to join us for the 6th Annual Iqaluit Pride and Friends of Pride Picnic. The picnic is an opportunity for everyone - LGBT and straight alike - to come together to celebrate human diversity and the right of every individual to lead a life of eqaulity, dignity, and respect.

Initiated in 2001, the Pride and Friends of Pride picnic has grown from less than a dozen participants to well over 200 attendees in 2005. Typically held in Sylvia Grinnell Park, the picnic is an afternoon of food, music, and friends. A Rainbow Ulu Award is presented annually to an individual who has made significant contributions to the LGBT community in Nunavut.
