With over 50,000 iPhone apps currently available and that number growing at an ever-increasing rate, what is the future for these mini bytes of functionality?
Fancy an informal chat with other apps fans to find out?
There’s an app for that.....
From the genius (Tube Exits) to the ridiculous (Rate a Fart), the free (Flight Control) to the hundreds (iRa Pro) and the simplest (Paper Toss) to the life saving (Close Call) iPhone apps are everywhere and for everyone. Discovering a ‘new app’, whether it shaves seconds off your commute or makes a semi-clad model ‘wobble’, is akin to the childhood experience of opening presents on Christmas morning, the excitement, the thrill and most importantly, the bragging to your friends the next day. Even now, the virtual world is all a Twitter with discussions on the greatly anticipated release of the TomTom app, just another short-cut courtesy of the Apple apps bank.
Here at Chinwag Towers, we thought this was worthy of further discussion. So, if you are already involved in developing an application or are considering delving in, Wednesday 26th August could be the night for you.
Join us for an informal chat, a few drinks and possibly a speaker or two to talk about all things app.
The kind folks at Aquent have offered to host the event in their brand new offices just above Tottenham Court Road tube station.
Tickets: Free, but registration is essential
