After a failed attempt to kill herself, she trains her feet to do all that the hands do, which includes cooking, writing, changing her clothes, riding a bicycle, and even making kites. She wants to become a doctor but is denied admission. Too proud to accept help from her schoolmates, she trains to become a swimming champion, beating Olympic-level participants. This is an inspiring triumphing-over-hardship saga that has the protagonist act as herself in the film.
