Inverness RBLS Armed Forces Weekend July 25, 2009

DESCRIPTION: Saturday consists of a Parade lead by a Massed Pipe Band followed Veterans, Regular Forces, Cadet Forces, Youth Organisations ect including a Ceremony to "March on the Colours" a march past with the salute being taken by the Provost. The Parade will march to the Northern Meeting Park where various entertainment is laid on. Demos by the Royal Marine Reservists the RAF Mountain Recue Team, the British Red Cross and the Rescue Services. There will also be a wide range of static displays of a Military theme including a Vintage Military Vehicle Display.

VENUE: The venue is being held in the Nothern Meeting Park on Ardross Terrace next to the Cathedral.

On the Saturday for the Parade any Serving member,Veteran, Reservist or member of TA and all Cadet Corps plus Youth Organisations. Medals to be Worn.

The General population of the area plus any visitors in the area are welcome to attend the displays and Static show.

Admission to the NMP on the Satrurday is £3.00 per adult (half price if you are wearing your veterans badge) £2.00 for children and concessions. All surplus funds to be donated to various Veterans Charities.
