A one day hands-on introductory physical computing workshop specifically designed for beginners to this field. Participants will learn how to hook up off-the-shelf sensors to a computer using an Arduino microcontroller.

Dates: Tuesday 1 June, 2010, Lighthouse, Brighton.

Overview: This is a one-day hands-on introductory physical computing workshop specifically designed for beginners to this field. It is aimed at students and members of the public (maximum 15) interested in learning about physical computing. All participants will need to bring along a laptop (Mac or PC) and we'll supply everything else.

Who's it for: students and members of the public interested in learning about physical computing.

Previous experience: participants don't need to have any previous experience of electronics or programming, but it would be helpful if they knew how to use a software package such as Photoshop or Dreamweaver.

Number of participants: maximum 15

Cost: the event is funded by the EPSRC CHANGE project and is free for participants.
