Introduction to Pastels November 15, 2010

Enjoy exploring this unique medium which offers the directness of drawing and the rich, varied color of painting. Study with an artist who has been creating award winning works in hard and soft pastels for 30 years. Jeanne Reynolds is known for her vibrant pastels which include the 1992 Memphis in May Russia Poster, the 2002 Cooper Young Festival Poster, and 20 works depicting nature in First Tennessee Bank's collection. This workshop is designed for all levels but, some drawing experience would be a plus. The goal of the three hour session will be to have fun creating an expressive still life drawing/painting of seasonal elements. Simple supply list provided.
