This free class is for beginners or those who would like to learn more about the practice of Hatha yoga, which seeks to promote health and well-being through physical exercise. You will learn the basics of yoga postures, alignment, body awareness, breathing, and relaxation techniques. Bring a yoga mat if you have one or a large beach or bath towel to use on the floor, and wear loose comfortable clothing that you can move in. If you eat before the class, make it a light meal or snack at least one hour ahead of the class.
The class instructor, Debby Edwards received her teaching certification and has been teaching Hatha Yoga at the Campbell Community Center and Center for Spiritual Enlightenment for the past ten years.
