Buddhist Psychology:
Working with our Mental States--the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

One of the most basic apsects of the practice of Dharma is to be able to identify our own ideas and emotions. The next level of practice is to gain skill in discerning which of these ideas and emotions are healthy to cultivate and which are unrealistic and self-defeating. This topic is sometimes callled "Mind and Mental states" in Buddhist studies.

Buddhist psychology asks amazing questions. Is anger an emotion that helps us or hurts us? Is longing happiness? Does jealousy help us get what we want? Does pride make us feel better about ourselves? Is irritation an idea or a feeling?

Join BodhiHeart Sangha in a practical weekend workshop exploring your own mental states thorugh meditation and asking some questions about them through lecture and discussion. Live the life of a Dharma practitioner for the weekend!

This workshop is appropriate for students who are brand new to Buddhism as well as long time practitioners.
