British composer George Benjamin teams up with prolific British playwright Martin Crimp to re-spin the Pied Piper of Hamelin, a delightfully macabre folk tale about a mysterious piper who saves a town from rat infestation. The Frankfurt-based new music group Ensemble Modern, making its first U.S. appearance since 2003, interprets the rich score.
