International Readings at Harbourfront Centre (IRAH) is thrilled to unveil a fabulous winter season filled with the best in established and emerging literary writers.

Three Canadians -- Toronto’s Scott Gardiner, Vancouver’s Shaena Lambert, and Montreal’s Heather O’Neill -- headline at IRAH on Wednesday, February 21. Gardiner presents his biting political satire King John of Canada, a story that sees a charismatic Canadian elected by lottery as “king.” Lambert’s Radiance is the tale of a young survivor of the Hiroshima atomic blast who becomes the unwitting poster-child of the ban-the-bomb movement; and O’Neill’s Lullabies for Little Criminals, called a “definite triumph” by David Rakoff, is the harrowing story of a thirteen-year-old girl who falls prey to the clutches of a local pimp.
