International Music and Dance Extravaganza 2009 Promoting World Peace April 11, 2009

The theme of this year's event is “World Peace through Culture”. We hope that the variety and authenticity of the great performances of different dance groups will remind us of our ancient common cultural heritage. We also believe that with your generous support this event will rekindle the spirit of peace and harmony in all our hearts and minds.

Agenda: Inauguration and an Inspiring speech by Sri Nipun Mehta, International Cultural Programs and variety shows featuring yoga, music, drama, classical, semi classical, folk and contemporay dances from all around the world in participation with many bay area cultural and educational organizations including CPAA, Ballet Group, Zingaris, Rythms, Sanskar, Tiruchitrambalam, Xpressions, JKM, International Gurukul and many others.

Here is one event to enjoy Variety of music and dance including Asian Dance, Chinese Dances, Authentic Egyptian Belly Dance, Bhangra, Srilankan and Odissi Fusion Dance, Classical Odissi dance, Kuchipudi Dance on Brass Plate, Kathak, Bharat Natyam, Folk Dances, Musical Dance Fusions, Drama and Contemporary Dances. Besides such a variety of “Food For Eyes and Ears” we will also have some Indian home made food for the Body and Soul!
