There are a lot of new shiny objects in the world of marketing. Which ones should you engage with, which ones should you be wary of? What will work for your business, and at what costs? Dan will talk about how the Trail Blazers have used various interactive strategies in connecting the organization with their fan base in a time where budgets are getting tighter. He plans on covering the likes of niche social networking, Twitter, Facebook, mobile marketing and whatever has popped up between writing this synopsis and the actual presentation. Harbison plans on having a rapid paced interactive presentation for the ‘Attention Challenged’, so please come prepared with either your right hand raised or a cell phone to Tweet comments.

Registration closes Thursday, September 3rd. Walk-ins will be admitted pending no-shows.

Speaker Bio
Dan took his long standing love of basketball into his current position overseeing interactive marketing efforts that include trailblazers.com, iamatrailblazersfan.com (the first stand-alone social network for a professional sport team), Trail Blazers blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Mobile and other shiny interactive objects. Dan takes the name Trail Blazers literally and tries to instigate new ideas and ways to connect to a fan base that once was eroded and has come back to embrace Rip City. Harbison is a graduate of the University of Oregon, bikes to work from Beaverton where he lives with his wife Jessie, son Jack and dog Loki. He usually talks a lot.

About the Portland Trail Blazers
