RACE TO INDY FOR THE IIA DISTRICT THREE CONFERENCE!
The Indianapolis IIA Chapter (Indy IIA) is very proud to announce that we will be hosting a conference for the IIA District 3 on April 20 and April 21, 2009. This two-day event (16 CPEs) is structured to meet the training needs of many professionals by providing valuable insight from thought leaders in Accounting, Information Technology, Corporate Governance and Internal Audit. Pricing for the event starts at $225 which is approximately $14 per CPE! The conference will also include a Chief Audit Executive Roundtable luncheon the second day.The Indy IIA and our co-sponsors will also be hosting this roundtable discussion at no cost for District CAEs. Some details of the event are in the process of being finalized; however, the conference will include concurrent tracks based on skill level and interests as indicated below:

KEYNOTE SPEAKER Morton J. Marcus
The current state of the U.S. and Global economy is a key concern of many in the Internal Audit, Corporate Governance, Accounting, and Risk Management profession. Our conference will begin with a keynote address from Morton J. Marcus entitled The Global Economic Downturn and the Impact on the Internal Audit Profession. Morton is Director Emeritus of the Indiana Business Research Center in the Kelley School of Business. In addition to teaching economics at Indiana University for 33 years, Mr. Marcus has served six Indiana governors as an advisor on taxation and economic development. Morton writes a popular column that appears weekly in more than 30 newspapers. He also maintains an active speaking schedule and is engaged in numerous research efforts related to economic development. A frequent speaker for civic and professional groups, Morton helps audiences see local and regional economies in a national and international perspective. He has testified before Congress, appeared on the PBS News Hour with Jim Lehrer, and consulted with firms and governments throughout the U.S. and in Southeast Asia. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Morton has earned degrees in Economics from Roosevelt University (Chicago), Washington University (St. Louis) and the University of California (Los Angeles).

Prize Drawing: All non-local registrants (those requiring hotel stay and booking a room initially with the Hilton) will be entered into a prize drawing to stay in the Hilton Presidential Suite at no charge! Winner will be selected at random and notified prior to the event.

Cancellation Policy
Due to the size of the Central Region District Three Conference we ask that registrants requiring cancellation notify the Indy IIA at least 30 days in advance to guarantee a full refund. Please email [email protected] to cancel. We cannot guarantee a refund for cancellations received after March 21, 2009.
