The Silicon Valley Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) presents its 6th Annual Technical Conference, "Latest Technologies and Challenges for Product Development and Manufacturing". This exciting one-day Innovation Conference for Engineers will explore new resources, materials, and processes that will help you speed up, develop, and manufacture products. Enjoy keynote speakers from Space Systems/Loral and SEMI PV Group, and panel discussions on emerging technologies in medical devices and entrepreneurship. A range of industries are discussed by Silicon Valley thought leaders. Learn about the latest developments in carbon nanotubes, composites, plastics, metals, and direct digital manufacturing. Registration is open to SME members and non-members. Held in conjunction with the Design-2-Part Show. No charge for parking.

The adjoining Design-2-Part Show is the largest show in the region to focus exclusively on contract manufacturing services. Design/manufacturing engineers, and support personnel, i.e., quality engineers, purchasing, etc., are given the opportunity to meet face-to-face with local and national contract manufacturers to source custom parts, components, services, and design. The 2011 show will have nearly 200 of the finest American contract manufacturing companies exhibiting their design-through-manufacturing services covering more than 300 product categories for the metals, plastics, rubber and electronics industries.
