Veteran and Tony Award-winning actors Brian Dennehy and Christopher Plummer take on a new production of the still-controversial play by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee. It is a fictionalized account of the 1925 Scopes Trial during which a teacher was tried and convicted for introducing a high school science class to Darwin's theory of evolution, contrary to a Tennessee state law that mandated a form of creationism.
