Infant & Toddler Sign Language courses April 25, 2010

WeeHands infant and toddler sign language classes are coming to the Worcester JCC! Classes are starting Sunday 4/25, so enroll today (registration info is at the bottom of this post). Classes are 6-8 weeks in length and each class is about 60 minutes. Bring your baby, spouse/partner...even grandparents!

Classes being offered are:

Signing Babies I (for newborns to babies age 12 mo./walking) and Signing Tots I (for toddlers age 1/walking to 3)

150 signs, plus songs, games, and popular books will be highlighted

Or, request a class to be held in your home with friends and their babies. One-time 2 hour "Sing and Sign Through the Day" course is also available for those who can't commit to a longer course. Email [email protected] for more information.

The instructor for this class, Claire Miller, is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Early Intervention provider.

Long before your baby can speak, she has the ability to understand speech and wants to communicate with you. Most babies signed to from an early age are able to sign back to you by the time they are 8-12 months of age.

Since 2001, across North America licensed WeeHands Instructors have taught thousands of families and caregivers to sign with their children.
