INDIANA NATIVE PLANT SALE MAY 17TH

BY THE FRIENDS OF MOUNDS STATE PARK

May is the perfect time to plant beautiful flowers which will attract butterflies and other wildlife. Join the Friends of Mounds State Park for their first annual fundraiser plant sale on May 17th from 10am-3pm at the Visitor Center .

These aren’t just any plants though. Most are Indiana Native plants and wildflowers which were grown from seeds harvested from the butterfly garden right here at Mounds State Park . Native plants and wildflowers are hardy and can be planted in less than perfect soils, also requiring less water.

Plants range in price from $1-$5, and there are at least 20 different plant species to choose from (while supplies last.) So get there early, and get planting!

For more details about specific plants, or for questions about the sale, call the Interpretive Center at (765) 649-8128.
