The seminar will be held on Thursday, December 10, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., at the IBA Center for Professional Development, 6925 Parkdale Place, in Indianapolis. Registration and a continental breakfast start at 8:30 a.m.

"The ABCs of HR Compliance: What They Are, What Has Changed and What is on the Horizon," will cover the roles and responsibilities of human resources, employment law updates and emerging issues, designing and implementing effective employee policies, human resource issues presented by an uncertain economy and employee benefits compliance.

Swider is a Bose McKinney & Evans partner representing management in labor and employment law matters, including labor and employment law litigation, employment discrimination, NLRB practice and procedure, grievance resolution and arbitration, affirmative action, collective bargaining, wage and hour and unemployment compensation. He chairs the Labor and Employment Law Group and has been repeatedly recognized and included in The Best Lawyers in America® and Indiana Super Lawyers.

Swider received both his Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance and his law degree from Indiana University, where he was articles editor for the Indiana Law Review and president of the Moot Court Society. He has served on the Human Resources Committee of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Indiana University School of Law Practitioner Advisory Committee and was a special advisor to the Indiana Manufacturers Association.

Perry is a partner in Bose McKinney & Evans' Labor and Employment Group, representing national, regional and local clients in labor and employment related matters and litigation. She has extensive experience counseling, training and assisting employers in all aspects of compliance with federal and state employment laws.

Perry received her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from The University of Memphis and her law degree, magna cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington. She is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. She has spoken on labor and employment related topics for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Lorman Education Services, the Indiana Manufacturers Association, and various other industry associations.

A partner in the Business Services and Tax Groups, Hamilton engages in a broad-based practice covering health and welfare arrangements, insurance, executive compensation and federal and state taxation.

Hamilton is a frequent author and speaker and has delivered more than 150 speeches to professional organizations and clients since joining the firm in 2001. He earned a bachelor's degree from Cornell University, his law degree from Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington and LL.M. in taxation from New York University Law School.

Yates is an associate in the Labor and Employment Law Group, where she represents national, regional and local clients in labor and employment litigation. She has experience representing clients in federal and state law cases, including employment discrimination, covenants not to compete, wage claims and other federal and state law claims.

Yates received her juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, where she was a student member of the Indianapolis Bar Association as well as a note development editor for the Indiana Law Review. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science, summa cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts in history, summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia. She is also a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana and American Bar Associations.
