In Good Spirits/Usher November 1, 2009

Stage Door's Halloween show is two shows for the price of one and includes the Oklahoma Premiere of the hilarious musical comedy “In Good Spirits” and a totally teen comedy “Usher.” “In Good Spirits” is a delightfully funny musical about five ghosts that were former performers and are doomed to haunt a theatre until they either choose to take the express elevator “down”; or are allowed to press the “up” button by assisting someone perform a successful show! Hilarity ensues when one little girl lets the cat out of the bag that she can not only hear the ghosts, but is able to see them as well. With her on board, the ghosts are able to help the living community theatre players put on an original, successful play and hit the UP button on the Stage Door! “Usher” features a group of teens on their way to a school competition on a bus that breaks down in a desolate area as a storm approaches. The closest shelter they can find is the House of Usher where they are taken in by Roderick and his sister. The teens take us through a farce of the works of Edgar Allen Poe with plenty of laughs, shrieks, a ghost filled chase scene and in the end true love conquers all!
