‘Sir Horace Gentleman' Panter, bass player with legendary band The
Specials, takes centre stage to look back on his life so far: from member of
the most dynamic rhythm section on the Two-Tone scene, to artist, and back
again, when the band reunited for tours in 2008 and 2013.

According to Horace's memoir Ska'd
for Life
, The Specials set out to change the world by making people ‘dance
as well as think'. Born and bred in
Coventry, he did just that, meeting fellow Special Jerry Dammers at art school,
forming a group, and playing a part in the creation of music that exquisitely
captured being young, bored, skint and politically-alienated in urban Britain
in the late 70s/early 80s.

Horace will be in conversation with The Farm's bass player, Carl Hunter,
while The Farm's lead singer, Peter Hooton, will be spinning ska and Two Tone
classics throughout the evening.

FILM SCREENING: Bronco Bullfrog (1970)

The evening will start with a rare showing of the cult Mod film Bronco Bullfrog, a neglected classic that 'stands as a forgotten time piece, a rebel in exile' The Guardian

A great piece of classic Bronco Bullfrog trailer
