In Concert with Carrie Newcomer. The American Center and Performers Collective would like to invite you to a concert by Carrie Newcomer, Singer/Songwriter. Carrie Newcomer has been described as 'a soaring songstress' by Billboard and 'a rising star' by The Wall Street Journal, a 'prairie mystic' by the Boston Globe. One of the definitive voices of the American Heartland, social justice and progressive spirituality. She has toured with Alison Krauss Europe and the U.S. Nickel Creek recorded Newcomer's song 'I Should've Known Better', on their Grammy-winning album This Side. Carrie facilitates workshops on writing, vocation and community service in educational and spiritual communities, retreat centers and festivals. She tours throughout the United States and abroad, and will be releasing her 12th CD, 'Before and After' on Rounder Records in February 2010.
