In Celebration of Our First Lady:Music and Poetry March 10, 2012

On Saturday, March 10th, Joyce Gordon Gallery invites the public to “In Celebration of Our First Lady.” This free afternoon of music and poetry, hosted by Kim McMillon, includes poets and musicians: Anna de Leon, Chokwadi, Meg Day, Ayodele Nzinga, Kaylah Marin, Kim Shuck, and Al Young. From 1:30 pm – 4 pm, artists will use words to honor women, and our First Lady, Michelle Obama. This program is part of the “SheRose of our Time” exhibition at Joyce Gordon Gallery paying tribute to the First Lady, Michelle Obama for her continued support of cultural and economic significance in the arts.
