This class is for anyone who wants to learn to make up songs on-the-spot: singers, musicians, actors, writers, teachers, lawyers, doctors, executives -- yes, even politicians. Susan's unique step-by-step technique teaches you to tap into your innate creativity so you can improvise solo songs in a variety of styles: country western, fifties, folk, jazz, blues, rap, pop, reggae, salsa and Broadway ballads, charm and comedy songs. Susan's Improv Singing curriculum pulls from her 20+ years experience in NYC performing on and off-Broadway, on her nationally syndicated improvisational radio show, and from her work as a scriptwriter and/or songwriter for Jim Henson's Muppets, Nickelodeon, Sesame Street, Warner Brothers and Disney. Susan has developed her very own Improv Singing Curriculum, different from anything that's been taught at Merlin Works before, so we are very excited to have this new-to-town artist teaching with us. (8 meetings. Class size limit = 14)
