Imjin Memorial April 23, 2011

2011 is the 60 year anniversary of the Battle of the Imjin River where the Gloucestershire Regiment famously had their last stand during the Korean War.

To honour the anniversary a monument will be carved at the Dean Heritage Centre. Two designs have been drafted and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite. The winning design will be announced at midday on Easter Sunday and the monument will be carved on site throughout the afternoon.
