The Imatra Big Band Festival (IBBF) is a music festival in Finland with a particular emphasis on the music of large orchestras. It offers plenty of events also for smaller top ensembles and artists from all over of the world.

Besides various types of jazz music and swing, the spectrum of festival events will also include a large measure of black rhythm music from blues to soul and funk as well as latin & world music and even rock. All of this guarantees that the rhythmic heat is on during the whole festival time (9 days) in this hospitable Carelian town Imatra near finnish-russian border, about 250 kilometres from Helsinki to the East.
In the year 2006 this nine-day celebration will be arranged 30.6.-8.7. 2006. for the 24th time for a combined audience over 50 000 listeners. There will be about 40 concerts and approximately 60 ensembles will gather in Imatra.

About half of the concerts will be free admission outdoor events in the Big Band Street. The main concerts will be held in a grand marquee called "BB Club", an inside place for audience of over 2500. There will be also concerts in restaurants and theater, in different open air places and in the ship "m/s Camilla" on Lake Saimaa.
