Matou, pronounced (mah – toe) is a Maori word that means "us". They are a group of indigenous musicians and performers who collaborate in the performance of original compositions that celebrate indigenous peoples, cultural strength, perpetuation of tradition and express a love for nature and the geographic areas that each hail from.
