Illustration of the Flourishing Jewish Communities in Turkey in the 16th to 19th Centuries and Their Fate Today January 19, 2010

Dina Eliezer will lead Hazak in the exploration of the intricate history of the Jews of Turkey and examine their lives today. There will be a short documentary shown and Dina will speak on her contributions to the community over the past decade. Amongst her biggest contributions, was her establishment of a Jewish school for their children and the preservation of 1700 books belonging to the rabbinic libraries of the community.
