Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arranging, was developed in the fifteenth century and expresses impressions of nature through flowers with special regard to balance, harmony and form. Ikebana uplifts both your spirits and environment. You will learn the fundamentals of this traditional art form and will create an arrangement to take home.*

Janet Solomon, Professor 3rd Grade of the Ikenobo School of Ikebana, will lead this workshop. Janet teaches at the Ikenobo Main Line study group in Bryn Mawr.

*Please bring a vase and a Ikebana kenzan (sometimes known as frogs) that will hold flowers in place as you create arrangements. Materials will be available for purchase ($20+). Registration: $45. Visit us on the web or call Brenda Waters 917.856.5659.
