Technology Alumni Association Delhi Chapter & IIT Kharagpur Alumni Foundation are organizing IIT Foundation Day Celebrations. Mr Arun Shourie (Former Union Minister and MP) and Prof. P V Indirasen (Former Chairman of IIT Council) will be the speakers.
In addition, there will also be a felicitation of Arvind Kejriwal (IIT Alumnus), winner of this year’s Magsaysay Award.
The program will be followed by High Tea.

KGPite wins Magsaysay Award,
Arvind Kejriwal (1989 NH) has won the 2006 Ramon Magsaysay Award for “Emergent Leadership”, for his role in fighting corruption and his role as the founder of Parivartan. He was also one of the key figures responsible for the Right To Information act (”RTI”) that was passed by the Govt of India in 2005.

In electing Arvind Kejriwal to receive the 2006 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent Leadership, the board of trustees recognizes his activating India’s right-to-information movement at the grassroots, empowering New Delhi’s poorest citizens to fight corruption by holding government accountable to the people.
