IGNITE! A PeopleConnect Pitch Event October 11, 2012

PeopleConnect is excited to announce their next event IGNITE!, taking place TONIGHT, Thursday, October 11, 2012, from 5 pm-8:30 pm at RocketSpace (181 Fremont Street, SF, CA 94105). IGNITE! is a part of a series of monthly fund raising events for high tech, software, clean tech, medical device, biotech or medical diagnostic companies. Each month ten companies are chosen to participate in IGNITE! Presenting companies will each have a demo table to have the opportunity to meet and network with angels, VCs and guests during the first hour. Attendees will then vote for their favorite company, and the top five will get to present to a distinguished panel of VCs. The panel chooses who they feel is the most promising startup. The winner gets a meeting with our Sponsoring Venture Capitalist, Claremont Creek Ventures for a full Pitch Session to the Claremont team.

The panel of VCs for this Thursdays’ event are:

-Eric Ferraro, shareholder at LeClairRyan, an international law firm.
-Paul Straub, technology investor at Claremont Creek Ventures.
-Shani Shoham, the Managing Director for 2020, a VC that connects entrepreneurs with corporate innovation
-Allan Young, a very talented and successful investor and entrepreneur, founder at mediaFORGE, a partner at Design Engine Lab, and a consultant with Sendside Networks. Allan currently is a co-founder of LaunchHere Inc.
-Ron Weissman, an angel investor who was the VP of strategy and corporate marketing for Verity, a global leader in corporate information retrieval and knowledge management.
