This month's IGDA Toronto meeting will be an open arcade environment to play the games made at last month's TOJam event. Check out the fun games and meet the hardest of the hardcore hackers that brought their games to life!
What is TOJam? TOJam.ca is an event where participants can write a video game, from scratch, in three days. At May 2007's TOJam event, we had 60 participants create 28 games, which is really impressive!
We could use a few more volunteers (i.e. 7 more) to bring their laptops down to be able to show off more games.* (see details below)
New and familiar faces are welcome. You can always just drop in to share a couple of refreshing drinks with your friends!
The meeting starts at 7 PM and short announcements will be made at 8 PM. If you have some news that you would like announced at the meeting, please email or talk to us ahead of time.
Meeting place and time:
Thursday June 7, 2007, 7 PM
Imperial Pub, Downstairs floor
54 Dundas E (Just east of Yonge and Dundas Square by Dundas Subway station)
Toronto, ON, M5B-1C7
* Please indicate in the forums if you are able to bring a reasonably powerful laptop (or PC + monitor if you're willing to lug it downtown). Please also arrive early at 6 PM to set up the games.
